Lee Petty’s talk from the Creative Leadership workshop is now available
Back in April, we were privileged to host Lee Petty from Double Fine Productions, who has lead many game productions like Stacking, Headlander, RAD and his latest masterpiece, Keeper.
We asked Lee Petty to give a workshop on Creative Leadership to game developers. We are in awe of what Petty manages to put together of brilliant and creative ideas in games, and we asked him to share some of the tools and methods he uses to onboard teams and other interested parties to ideas that are still being formed. For the workshop he gave an hour long talk that we filmed and shared on our YouTube channel:
Pssst! Look who’s coming …
We’re far enough along in the planning that we feel confident to share with you that the former Head of AI at Take Two, Luke Dicken will be in Trondheim for a several events this Fall.
Dr. Luke Dicken was building game AI long before the current hype cycle. With four degrees in AI to his name, his PhD dissertation technically targeted “Simulated Virtual Worlds” because at that time his university wasn’t comfortable printing the word “Games” on a doctoral diploma.
For more than 15 years, Luke has shaped the architecture of modern gaming, spending a decade driving studio innovation at Zynga and most recently serving as the Head of AI for Take-Two Interactive. Alongside his corporate track record, he spent seven years supporting the next generation of industry talent as Chair of the IGDA Foundation. He is currently based in Northern California, where he is currently researching a state-of-the-art work/life balance framework with his two dogs until his next venture begins.
We’re really excited about having Luke here! Stay tuned for an invite soon!
